What lands in your inbox

The exciting stuff, explained by someone who isn't selling it.

Crypto, AI and hot stocks get the headlines. Accounts, fees and habits build the wealth. Every Sunday you get both, in five minutes, in plain English.

Crypto, minus the casino

Bitcoin without the hype or the fear.

How crypto fits a long-term plan, what a crypto ETF actually is, and why position size matters more than timing. No coin calls, ever.

AI & the future of money

Use AI like a tutor, not a guru.

The prompts worth trying, the mistakes AI makes about Canadian rules, and how deepfake investment scams work.

ETFs & index investing

The boring engine behind most real wealth.

One ETF can hold hundreds or thousands of companies. What that means, what it costs, and why the fee line matters.

The Seed

There's a Douglas fir on the west coast that's been growing for over 500 years. Nobody planted it for themselves. Someone just started.

Compounding means your money earns returns, then those returns earn returns. In the early years it feels like nothing is happening. That's exactly when most people quit.

The Ring

$109,000The TFSA room waiting for someone who's been 18+ in Canada since 2009 and never contributed.

The Move

Pick an amount you won't miss, even $25, and set an automatic transfer to your TFSA on payday. This week, just build the habit.

Who's writing

I'm Lucas. I run buildings, not a hedge fund.

By day, I keep Vancouver properties running. For the last seven years I've followed the financial writers and industry leaders worth listening to, and tested their ideas on my own paycheque.

I'm Brazilian, Portuguese and Canadian, an unapologetic Bitcoin believer, and I have ambitious goals. I'll share what I believe and why. I'll never tell you what to buy.

This is the email I wish I'd had seven years ago: a seed, a paycheque and a plan. Let's see how big it grows.

What I'll never do

  • Tell you which stock or coin to buy.
  • Promise returns. Nobody can.
  • Hide how I get paid. Referral links and sponsors are labelled right next to the link.
  • Sell your email or send daily spam.
Quick answers

Before you plant.

Is it really free?

Yes. The Sunday email and the TFSA vs FHSA vs RRSP cheat sheet are free. If paid extras ever exist, the weekly email stays free.

Is this financial advice?

No. It's general education about how investing, Canadian accounts and long-term habits work, plus my own journey. It isn't tailored to you. For decisions about your situation, talk to a registered professional.

Do you talk about crypto and AI stocks?

Yes, as topics to understand: how they work, how they fit (or don't) in a long-term plan, the risks and the fees. Never as "buy this now".

I'm behind. Is it too late?

No. Unused TFSA room carries forward, so it's still waiting for you. The email starts from zero and assumes nothing.

How often will you email me?

Once a week, on Sunday. Occasionally a short heads-up before a key date. One-click unsubscribe, any time.

Plant today. Grow for decades.

The best time to start was 2009. The second best is this Sunday.
